the childrens’ day center
Confident children grow into the balanced adults of tomorrow. The Children’s Day Center (on Sobarilor Street) is attended daily by 35 children aged between 9 and 18, after school hours. At the center, children are offered a hot meal, and then they are helped to do their homework, most of them needing additional meditation.

They have here all the support they need to improve their school performance. We focus on understanding and addressing emotions, relationships, and psychosocial development correctly. Due to the involvement of the psycho-pedagogue, children are motivated to appreciate education, to attend school and to integrate successfully into the school environment.

The children who attend the center come from families with many children, single-parent or disorganized families, families in which the parents are long-term unemployed or have never had a job. Some families also experienced emotional, physical, or alcoholic violence.
In such cases, the center’s specialists also work with parents to help them develop positive role models for their children, acquire appropriate skills for their education and supervision, and better integrate into the community.
